EXPERT BOARDS

One of the Regional Center’s activities in Cacak is the encouragement of teachers to organize professionaly.

THE EXPERT BOARD FOR CIVIC EDUCATION

On the initiative of the Regional Center – Cacak, on Saturday, 10 October 2007, the expert board of civic education teachers-lecturers for the District of Morava was established in the RC offices. The expert board’s goals are as follow:

  • The advancement of civic education teaching;
  • Socializing and exchange of experience;
  • Familiarizing all the teachers with the program of civic education;
  • Familiarizing the public with the program of civic education.

At the second meeting of civic education teachers, held on 22 November 2007, in the Regional Center, Marija Vulovic was elected a president of the expert board and the executive board for the District of Morava was formed. Natasa Djuricic, the coordinator for civic initiatives, attended the meeting of the expert board for civic education, held on 1 December 2007. It was agreed that Civic Initiatives would hold a free seminar intended for the civic education teachers of the District of Morava in the Regional Center. The seminar’s topic would be “Public distraction“. Civic Initiatives donated the Regional Center library with a set of books on civic education.

TEACHERS CREATORS

Socializing of teachers on 10 November 2007 was marked with a very good mood. Teachers read and recited their poetry. Milivoje Trnavac promoted his “An Anthology of Teachers’ love poetry“. The meeting was magnified by the performance of the KUD Abrasevic chorus.

RELIGION TEACHERS

The meeting of religion teachers of Cacak, held in the Regional Center on 24 November 2007, was informal. They considered the possibility of introducing all the teachers with the program of religious teaching.

THE EXPERT BOARD OF INFORMATICIANS

The expert board of informaticians was formed at the meeeting of informatics teachers in the Regional Center, which was held on 24 November 2007. Zorica Maksimovic was elected a president of the department, while Aleksandar Dilparic was elected a vice president. The executive board was formed as well.

THE SERBIAN LANGUAGE AND LITERATURE

The expert board of the Serbian language and literature teachers in the District of Morava was formed on 15 December 2007. Olivera Krupez was elected a president of the board, while Olivera Labudovic was elected her first assistent. The editorial staff of the future magazine of Serbian language teachers’, under the leadership of Sladjana Lisanin and Danijela Kovacevic-Mikic, was also recruited.

ART

The expert board of art teachers in the District of Morava was formed in the Regional Center, on 15 December 2007. The association was supported by the Art gallery “Nadezda Petrovic“ and a famous Serbian painter, Bozidar Plazinic, who gave a speech to the present company. The painter developed the idea about forming art colonies in the Morava District villages, with the result of increasing the number of pictures in the village schools. The president to the expert board is Snezana Biorac, while Predrag Tesic is her chief assistent.

THE EXPERT BOARD OF GEOGRAPHY TEACHERS

The expert board of geography teachers in Cacak has existed for a few years now. However, they held the first meeting in the Regional Center on 22 December 2007. On this accasion, the Regional Center representatives introduced the geographists with the aim of the Regional Center and the possibilities of mutual cooperation.

THE EXPERT BOARD OF THE HISTORY TEACHERS

The historians of Cacak formed their association few years ago. On their initiative, the meeting with the Regional Center representatives was held on 22 December 2007. The historians were interested in advanced training. As they wished, a seminar “History-a teacher of life“ was held in the Regional Center from 16 to 18 January, 2008.

THE GATHERING OF MATHEMATICIANS

The Morava District mathematics teachers gathered in the Regional Center on 22 December 2007. The association of mathematicians was to be formed at the next meeting. Following their wish, the seminar “Mathematics around us“ was held in the Regional Center from 10 to 11 January, 2008.

THE STRATEGY FOR THE CONTINUOUS PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT OF TEACHERS

The strategy for the continuous professional development of teachers is carried out through a unique concept of basic education (study), internship, advanced training, the monitoring system and professional advanvement through titles.

AIM – Advanced training while working is carried out so that the continuous development of professional competence could be achieved.

HOW? – By actively participating in their own continuous advanced training and advancement of educational system; by engaging in the process of the lifelong education with the support of school, centers for professional development, universities, the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Serbia and local community.

THE NEW INSTITUTIONS FOR SUPPORTING THE DEVELOPMENT OF EDUCATION AT THE NATIONAL LEVEL – The institution for advancement of education; the institution for evaluation of educational quality.

THE STRUCTURE OF THE INSTITUTION FOR ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION – The center for strategic development; the center for the program and textbook development; the center for professional development of the employees; the center for advanced and art education.

THE CENTER FOR PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT OF EMPLOYEES – NATIONAL LEVEL – Advancement and development of the system for professional development of employees in the institution itself; exams for getting trading licence for teachers, educators and professional associates, as well as the licence for principals; the evaluation of the quality concerning the realization of the program for the continuous advanced training of employees; offering professional and pedagogical help to teachers, educators and professional associates; cooperation with teacher training faculties, universities and other professional institutions at home and abroad.

ABOUT CENTER FOR PROFESSIONAL TRAINING CACAK

rcentar letoThe Center for professional training Cacak were established through the Professional Development Project (PDP), owing to the understanding memorandum of 24 July 2003 between the Government of Switzerland and the Republic of Serbia i.e. between the Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) and the Ministry of Education, respectively.

 

 

What is the Center for professional training Cacak?

The Center for professional training Cacak is an institution of public service established by the Municipality of Cacak, in accordance with the Serbian Ministry of Education’s Strategy Document for the period from 2005 to 2010.

 

 Why the Center for professional training Cacak?

The purpose of establishing the Center for professional training Cacak is as follows:

  • To make it possible for the institutions to adapt the professional development to the needs in its region;
  • To monitor the professional development in accordance with the region’s needs and the strategy of the educational development at the national level;
  • To organize seminars at the working place or in the immediate vicinity of it, thus reducing the cost of professional development significantly.

The Center for professional training Cacak is:

  • A place where various kinds of training are organized
  • A Resource Center (a library with professional literature, methodical-didactic, pedagogical and psychological, audio and video materials, etc);
  • Information systems (printed or online information booklets, which include the offer of the advanced training programs)
  • A place where the quality of the advanced training is evaluated and monitored
  • A place where the employees in the branch of education gather and exchange their professional experience.

What does the Center for professional training Cacak deal with?

In the Center for professional training the strategy of the advanced training in the region is applied and brought into effort in accordance with the strategy formulated by the Center for Professional development in Belgrade, in cooperation with the other relevant factors in education. This Center for professional training prepares an annual work program and executes programs of public and special interest in collaboration with School Management in Cacak.

The Center’s Activities:

  • Recording and analysis of the need for the advanced training of the employees in education
  • Planning of the training and other forms of professional development;
  • Help with creating the new programs for the advanced training
  • Monitoring the application of various forms of advanced training;
  • Cooperation with the Institute/Center for Professional development;
  • Cooperation with the local community
  • Cooperation with the Ministry of Education/School Management;
  • Cooperation with educational institutions
  • Establishing and maintaining databases
  • The analysis of the offer for advanced training programs
  • Organizing seminars and other forms of advanced training.
